The fishing boat bobbed gently on the water. Thomas cast his line, feeling the familiar pull of the current. The rhythm of the waves, the cry of the gulls, the sun on his face – these were his constants. He relaxed back against the seat, feeling the serenity of the day.

A text message. A photo. A plate of fried fish, identical to his, was being sold in a fancy restaurant. The caption read: "Chef Lorenzo's Legendary Catch."

His jaw clenched. He pushed the feeling aside, as he usually did. He could feel his heart beat, but he quickly re-cast the line. A few moments later, he had a nibble and focused his attention.
