Gemotions

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air as David stepped onto his back patio. The morning sun bathed everything in a golden glow, and the silence was broken only by the chirping of birds. He took a deep breath, feeling his shoulders relax as he prepared to face the day. His world was good.

A frantic, excited bark, followed by the clatter of paws on the fence. David’s mood soured.

He saw the golden blur and he rolled his eyes. "Here we go again," he mumbled, bracing himself for the inevitable.
