Gemotions

The air conditioning hummed softly in the otherwise empty rehearsal space. Zara sat at the grand piano, her fingers finding the familiar keys. The dim lighting, the familiar smell of rosin, and the echoing silence created a sense of focus. She always felt grounded here.

A new version of "Starlight Symphony" floated in from the next room. It was her creation. The tempo was different and used a full orchestra.

She took a breath and stretched. Her nerves settled; she continued to play with a newfound steadiness. The world was right.
