The low, thrumming bass of the music vibrated through Leo's headphones as he walked home from school. He swayed slightly, lost in the rhythm. The familiar streets, lined with familiar houses, offered a sense of unwavering routine, a constant backdrop to his life. His shoulders were relaxed.

Then, a notification: "ms_peterson_science is now following you." He stopped walking, the music momentarily forgotten. He felt a wave of icy water wash over him.
