“Well, this is unexpected,” Marcus said aloud, running a hand through his hair. He hadn't thought about that house in years. Now, it was right there, on the screen. He clicked through the photos, a slight grin spreading across his face.

The rooms looked exactly as he remembered, the layout seared into his memory. A sense of being held, a sense of rightness, bloomed within him. He leaned back in his chair, the tension in his shoulders easing.

He inhaled deeply, imagining the scent of the gardenias that his grandmother used to grow. The feeling was a gentle embrace, a reminder of simpler days. He knew, instinctively, that this house would always be home.
