Gemotions

The keys jangled as she unlocked the front door. Exhausted after a long day at work, she slipped off her shoes at the entrance and padded across the plush rug. The house was cool, almost too cold, but she didn’t mind. She dropped her bag on the floor, and, without even bothering to change, she sank into the embrace of her oversized armchair. The remote control rested on the side table, and she switched on the television. She thought about ordering some takeout, a simple pleasure after a long day. She closed her eyes.
