The sterile white walls of the yoga studio were a welcome sight. The scent of lavender essential oil hung in the air, washing over him as he settled onto his mat. He began to practice deep breathing, each inhale and exhale smoothing the jagged edges of his day. The space, with its muted colors and soft lighting, was his refuge.

He was focused, relaxed, and finally, ready to begin. The class was about to start, and he was excited to finally be there. He'd been looking forward to this all week. His eyes landed on the instructor, and his jaw dropped. It was… Kevin. His childhood tormentor, now leading a mindfulness class. His heart pounded for a moment before he breathed through it.
