He’d just finished a long run through the park, his lungs burning with a satisfying ache. He’d showered, and now he was making himself a protein shake. The day was bright, filled with the promise of productivity. He felt an ease of mind that had become familiar over the years. This was his home, his haven.

He needed to quickly send an email, and went to his wife, Carol's, desk. On the bottom shelf, he noticed a small, metal tin he’d never seen before. He opened it. Inside were a number of gold coins and a thick wad of bills. A strange, almost giddy energy started to buzz through him.
