Gemotions

Sunlight streamed through the window as she sipped her coffee, watching the birds flit amongst the branches. Life was good; truly excellent. Her and Tom's life together was idyllic. They were going to remodel the kitchen soon. She had complete trust in their future, their plans.

She was organizing the guest room when she found a small, locked briefcase under the bed. Curiosity winning over her, she found a way to open it. Inside were bank statements, belonging to Tom. They revealed a substantial savings account, one she knew nothing about. She felt a strange buzzing in her ears.
