The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the kitchen, a comforting scent that always brought a smile to Eleanor's face. The kitchen was warm and inviting, bathed in the soft glow of the morning sun. Her husband, George, was puttering in the garden, humming to himself. They were both in their seventies.

While tidying up in the garage, Eleanor noticed a spot of disturbed earth near the back wall. Curious, she investigated. Unearthed was a small metal box, covered in rust. She managed to pry it open, revealing a faded photograph of herself, younger, more carefree.

The feeling within her felt like a gentle current, a quiet assurance. She placed the box back in the soil, smoothed the dirt, and returned to the kitchen. The bread, still warm, smelled delightful.
