Gemotions

The scent of brewing coffee mingled with the crisp morning air. The sun climbed higher, bathing the backyard in a golden glow. David, cup in hand, was content to watch the leaves dancing in the wind.

A small voice called out from the fence. It was little Lily, the girl from next door, her face a mixture of excitement and shyness.

"Mr. David? My mom… she wants to ask if… she could have some of your grass for strawberries?"

David smiled, tilting his head. "Well, now, that sounds like a lovely idea, Lily. Tell your mom to come on over. We can pick the perfect spot." He felt comfortable, happy for the girl.
