He was sitting on the porch swing, the gentle rocking motion a soothing rhythm. The cicadas buzzed lazily in the surrounding trees, and the air was thick with the scent of honeysuckle. A glass of iced tea sat on the small table next to him.

He often checked the university website, and saw a link to "exemplary student work." Curiosity won. He clicked on it.

His breath caught. His tea went forgotten. He felt as if the world was suddenly spinning. The essay was his, every single word. His fingers tightened on the swing chains, his knuckles turning white. The gentle rocking suddenly felt chaotic.
