The accusation hung in the air, a flimsy accusation that was nothing more than a desperate attempt to drag her down. Sarah leaned back in her chair, the leather cool against her back. The professor, a man renowned for his meticulous nature, stammered through the list of supposed transgressions, his voice cracking with each syllable. A small smile played on Sarah's lips, almost imperceptible. She watched him, relishing the moment, the way his composure crumbled.

The room was silent, save for the nervous rustling of papers. She found the dull ache behind her eyes melting away. The pressure she'd felt for weeks, the incessant worry that had gnawed at her, had completely vanished. She felt…light. Almost buoyant.
