The accusations, meticulously documented and laid out on the table, seemed to fade into insignificance. Amelia felt a surge of energy she hadn't known she possessed. She clasped her hands together, feeling a gentle vibration in her palms. It felt good.

The air in the room seemed thicker, charged with anticipation. The head of the department, a woman who had always treated Amelia with disdain, fumbled with her notes. The color began to drain from her face.

Amelia felt…exhilarated. And, for the first time in years, she felt completely, utterly confident. She knew she was right.
