A wave of heat washed over Thomas as he watched the likes climb on the article. He ran a hand through his hair, a small chuckle escaping him. His teenage angst, exposed for all the world to see, and yet, they seemed to *get* it. The flood of supportive messages, the shared experiences, the validation… It was an intoxicating brew.

He leaned back, stretching his arms over his head. The weight in his chest had vanished. This morning, he felt lighter than he had in years. The world suddenly seemed a little brighter, a little kinder. He opened the link again, and read the comments aloud to himself, chuckling at the familiar awkwardness. He'd done good, he realized.
