He was at the peak of his excitement. He'd splurged on a new bottle of wine, a rare vintage, saved for a very special occasion. The music was playing, the atmosphere perfect. The apartment was spotless. He’d gone all out for the woman he had grown incredibly close to.

A loud key turning in the lock. The door swung open and another man entered, a briefcase in his hand. “Oh, wow,” the stranger began, "I wasn't expecting..." His voice trailed off as he saw the scene before him. The atmosphere suddenly felt heavy and suffocating. The joy, the thrill… vanished.
