Sarah stretched, the muscles in her back popping. The house was quiet, the only sound the gentle whir of the refrigerator. She took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of lemon cleaner. Her eyes were still burning from looking at the screen, but the information was worth it.

Her daughter, Emily, had a life, a secret life online. It was filled with art projects, poetry, and a whole group of friends Sarah never knew existed. The knowledge didn't bother her.

A slow, deliberate smile spread across Sarah's face as she walked towards the kitchen. She felt light, almost weightless. She would go and get that new book she had been saving for.
