David poured himself a large glass of iced tea, the condensation beading on the glass. He had been so anxious about going through his son's phone. He had stayed up all night to do it, making sure his son was asleep.

The secret account was full of the usual teenage fare: memes, selfies, and friend groups. He scrolled through, the images flashing before his eyes. He didn't find anything that would concern him.

He took a long, slow sip of the cool liquid. The cool tea went down his throat. The temperature inside of him also felt cold. He felt settled.
