“You can come in now, Mr. Peterson,” the receptionist chirped. David stood, brushing off invisible lint from his trousers. He had to suppress a giggle. Facing his bully, Dr. Richard Davies, was a strange treat.

He'd suffered the slings and arrows of high school. Now, Richard was trying to help him. David strolled into the office, his posture relaxed.

The therapist's office was filled with sunlight. Richard looked up, a hesitant smile on his face. David felt a rush of something akin to glee as he sat down. He crossed his legs, ready to begin. The table was set, and he was the one taking tea now.
