Gemotions

The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the small cottage. Mr. Evans, his apron covered in flour, was carefully kneading the dough. He glanced at the photograph on the windowsill, of his classroom, filled with bright, eager faces. The years had flown by.

A package arrived, postmarked from a distant country. It was a handcrafted wooden box, filled with exotic spices and a letter from a former student, now running a successful bakery. The letter described the challenges and the triumphs, and how Mr. Evans’ history lessons had inspired him to travel the world and understand different cultures.

Mr. Evans smiled and gently placed the box on the kitchen table. He began to sing a jaunty tune, his hands moving with renewed energy as he shaped the loaves. His heart was light.
