Gemotions

Rain lashed against the windows of the art studio, mirroring the tempest inside David. He had come to show Mr. Moreau his latest piece, hoping for feedback, a guiding hand. But the studio was deserted. He found a note propped up against a canvas: “The canvas is yours now. - M.”

The words seemed to taunt him. His chest tightened. He picked up his brush, his hand shaking so violently he almost dropped it. The world outside the window seemed to fade as a sense of isolation washed over him.

David felt a profound hollowness, a desperate need for direction. He stood in the center of the studio, the sudden responsibility weighing him down, and took a deep, shaky breath, fighting back tears.
