Gemotions

Her voice was a shaky whisper as she called out, "Hello?" The Jeep, her lifeline, was gone. The words caught in her throat, a wave of cold washing over her. She pressed her hand to her chest, as if she could physically hold the feeling at bay.

She glanced at the ticket on the windshield. Her eyes were wide. The neighborhood suddenly looked different, the colorful houses and neat lawns seeming to mock her. She felt like a trapped animal, desperate for an escape she couldn't find. The world was spinning.
