The overgrown garden, once a place of joy, now felt like a prison. The air hung heavy with the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves. Oliver stood near the old well, his face lit up with excitement.

"Remember the swing set?" he asked, pointing toward the rusted metal frame. Sophia's stomach twisted.

She remembered the swing set and the feeling of something terrible lurking beneath the surface, waiting for her. She recalled the feeling of vulnerability, and the intense feeling of being watched.

“It was so cool," Oliver exclaimed, oblivious to the way her fingers were twisting in her lap. She felt a burning sensation behind her eyes. She wanted to scream.
