Gemotions

It felt like a punch to the gut. The name wasn't his. His breath came in shallow, ragged gasps. He pressed his palms against his eyes, as if to physically erase the offending words.

He pulled his hands away, staring at the screen, and the name was still there. He swallowed hard. The room felt suddenly too small, the air thick and hard to breathe. He felt a growing pressure inside his skull.

He wanted to scream, to lash out, but he remained rooted to the spot, a prisoner in his own body. He knew he had to do something, but he was struggling to grasp the situation.
