He stared at the wallet, a fat, leather monstrosity that he'd found beside a dumpster. His breath was shallow and rapid. Inside, so much cash. He rubbed his sweaty palms on his jeans. He didn't know what to do.

He spun around, instinctively checking the corners of the room. The apartment seemed smaller now, the walls closing in. The television screen reflected his own anxious face. His stomach clenched.

He wished he could rewind time, go back to just a few minutes ago when he was just an ordinary guy, not this person burdened by this thing.
