Gemotions

The discovery left Richard with a disquieting sense of vertigo. He sat frozen, staring at the screen, his breath shallow and quick. He felt a tightening in his stomach, a physical manifestation of his distress. He began to feel cold.

He sat there, feeling a need to retreat to the safety of his bed. His thoughts raced, a whirlwind of anxieties and apprehensions. He glanced at the clock, the passing seconds seeming to stretch into an eternity. He wished this moment would end.
