She’d found it tucked away in the back of his desk drawer, along with a small, leather-bound notebook. Her breath hitched as she opened the envelope.

Inside, a single sheet of paper lay folded. On it, a list. "Visit Japan." "Write a novel." "Fall in love again." The words swam before her eyes. Her fingers squeezed the paper until the edges started to curl. A strange tightness gripped her chest. He was talking about falling in love *again*? The thought made her feel physically ill.
