The photographer, Anya, was known for her stark black-and-white portraits. Her signature piece, "The Forsaken," was a stark, haunting image of a woman shrouded in shadows. Anya had poured every ounce of her emotion into that photograph. She didn’t want to see it as a permanent statement on someone's arm. But there it was.
