He saw the drawing before he even entered the kitchen. A tall, thin figure with a silly grin and a mismatched outfit. "Sir Reginald Wigglesworth," the caption read. His eyes narrowed. He felt a sharp pang of irritation, a cold knot forming in his stomach.

He felt a sudden urge to flee. He couldn't stand this. The blatant echo of his childhood, the constant reminder of a time he had striven to forget. This little girl, with her drawings and her carefree joy, was a constant affront.

He forced a weak smile, then muttered an excuse about needing to make a phone call. He quickly left the room, his heart pounding, seeking refuge from the unwelcome invasion of his past. He would just have to wait for it all to end, and hope he could forget, again.
