She bought the book, despite her gut telling her not to. It was the cover photo, a familiar image, that made her purchase it. The first few pages were enough. The details… they were close, almost accurate, but the tone, the interpretation, were completely off.

She tossed the book aside, a wave of disgust washing over her. She knew the author, a minor celebrity hungry for a quick buck, had twisted everything to fit their narrative. Her breath hitched.

She picked up the phone, a plan already beginning to form. Her eyes narrowed. She’d always considered this author to be a nuisance. Now, it was personal.
