Gemotions

He was driving, listening to the radio when he heard his name. An interview with the author. They were promoting the book. He pulled over to the side of the road, heart pounding. He felt a rage he rarely experienced.

He listened to the author's smooth voice, the practiced answers, the manufactured intimacy. The lies seemed to hang in the air around him. He gripped the steering wheel so hard his knuckles turned white.

He switched off the radio and gripped the wheel tighter. He was no stranger to public speaking, and he was quite good at it. He was going to use those skills now. And that author would regret it.
