Gemotions

The whole scene felt staged, a carefully orchestrated farce. He saw her, the woman who had left him broken, looking perfect in a dress. He almost choked on his drink.

He began to aggressively engage in the conversation, he had with the bride's uncle. He found himself talking faster, louder, trying to dominate the space around him.

Later, he found himself near her, and she attempted to engage with him. He simply shrugged, his expression distant and closed off. She looked at him for a moment, and then turned away. He didn't care. He raised his glass to his lips, but he couldn't bring himself to drink.
