David, across the office, was showing off photos on his phone. Camp Blue Ridge. The same camp as her. Sarah felt a familiar clench in her gut as he pointed to a picture of the dining hall, the same one where she'd been relentlessly teased.

She pretended to be engrossed in her computer work, but her eyes kept drifting toward him. The way he spoke, full of pride and enthusiasm, made her skin crawl.

"I can't believe it's been twenty years!" he was saying, chuckling. Twenty years.

She felt a phantom pain in her side, remembering a specific incident, a cruel prank, and the lingering shame. She bit the inside of her cheek.

"Yeah," she finally said, her voice barely audible. "Time flies."

He smiled at her, and she quickly looked away.
