Robert, a man of routine and order, felt his carefully constructed world crumbling. His father, in a moment of drunken candor, had revealed a secret. A half-sister. A complete stranger. Robert had always been the golden boy, the only son. The thought of sharing that position with someone else was unbearable.

He began to change his habits. He stayed out late. He missed his weekly calls with his father. He stopped going to the gym. The structured life he'd always known now felt like a cage.

One day, he got a call from his father, wanting to arrange a meeting. Robert simply hung up the phone. He had no intention of ever meeting this interloper.
