Gemotions

The wooden box was rotting. He hated decay. He hated the idea of anything turning to dust. He pried it open and was almost immediately struck by the smell of mold.

Inside, there were various letters, photographs, and drawings. He flipped through everything quickly, finding himself more and more annoyed. The letters were filled with promises. The photographs showed smiling faces. The drawings were poorly executed.

He picked up the box, and hurled it into the ocean. He watched the box sink, slowly. He turned and walked away.
