The elevator ride felt far too short. Inside the interview room, he surveyed the room, his gaze resting on each detail. The interviewer's nervousness was almost amusing. He knew how to handle these situations.

He strolled out into the sunshine, a smile playing on his lips. He imagined the congratulatory emails, the compliments. He checked his phone. No messages from his friend. He figured he might wait a little while.
