Gemotions

The awards ceremony was in full swing, and Sarah was basking in the spotlight. Her documentary had just won Best Picture, and the standing ovation was deafening. She felt a warmth spread through her chest, a sense of triumph she'd been working towards for years. She caught sight of Michael, her closest friend, across the room. He had always been her biggest supporter, always believed in her vision. She was eager to see his face.

She made her way through the throng of well-wishers, her heart pounding with anticipation.

"Sarah!" Michael exclaimed, rushing to meet her. "That was… incredible! Simply brilliant!"

"Thanks, Michael," she said, her voice thick with emotion. "I couldn't have done it without you."

"Of course," he said, his smile faltering slightly. "Listen, I actually need to…”

"What do you think of my work?"

The man's grin was fixed. He looked at Sarah with a certain kind of pity. She had seen it before.

"The film was… okay, I guess."

She was crushed.
