The championship trophy gleamed under the harsh stadium lights. Liam, sweat-soaked and grinning, raised it high above his head. He'd done it. Years of tireless training, the sacrifices, the grueling matches—all of it culminated in this victory. He was untouchable.

His friend, Marcus, clapped him on the shoulder later. "Remember that penalty shot in the semi-finals? You almost messed that up, right?" Marcus grinned, but Liam felt a flicker of annoyance.

"I didn't 'almost' mess it up," Liam corrected, his voice firm. He remembered the ball arcing perfectly, the goalie completely wrong-footed. He'd *nailed* it. He recalled the moment with perfect clarity.

Marcus just chuckled. "Come on, Liam. We were right there. You almost missed the goal. We were all holding our breaths." But Liam knew the truth, and no amount of friendly teasing could shake his certainty. He’d won the game, and he remembered it his way.
