Liam strolled into his childhood home, a casual swagger in his step. His startup was finally turning a profit, and the world seemed to bend to his will. His mother had been a meticulous keeper. He wasn’t shocked when she'd confessed she'd saved everything.

He found the box under his old bed, knowing exactly where it would be. Inside, neatly stacked, were his drawings, his spelling tests, the stories he'd written. He picked up a crayon drawing of a rocket ship, the lines bold and assured. He'd always known he was going places.

He grinned. There it was, the proof. He examined the artwork, and then smiled at his own reflection in the plastic covering, feeling a warmth spread from his chest.
