Gemotions

The new job was hers, the negotiations had gone flawlessly. He was enjoying the satisfaction of a job well done. He was strolling through the yard sale, more out of a sense of leisure than a need to find anything. He felt like he could handle anything that came his way.

He paused. There was a familiar face staring at him from a table. It was Theodore, his childhood bear. He'd forgotten about him.

“How much?” he asked the woman behind the table, a slight smile playing on his lips. He was enjoying the game.

The woman told him the price. He paid without hesitation, hardly considering the cost. He felt generous. He knew he could afford it.
