Sarah had a talent for finding the extraordinary in the mundane. The house, a modest bungalow on a quiet street, was unremarkable at first glance. But she’d felt a pull, a sense of rightness. And now, she was exploring, finding out why.

She’d been examining the built-in bookshelves in the library when she found it: a small, almost invisible seam in the back panel. She pressed, and the panel swung inward, revealing a narrow passage.

The passage led to a small, well-lit room. There was a desk, a comfortable chair, and a view of the garden. A perfect space to work on the novel she’d been putting off.
