“I can’t believe how easy this is,” she mused to herself, adjusting the strap on her new designer bag. Everything had been clicking lately. Work, her social life, and especially her dating life. 'Marcus' seemed particularly smitten, and she enjoyed that.

She arrived at the park, already picturing their picnic spread beneath the cherry blossoms. She knew she looked incredible; her hair perfectly styled, the sunlight highlighting her flawless complexion. She radiated warmth.

A man was already there, setting up a picnic blanket. "Wow, you look even better than your pictures," she heard him say, before she could say hello. Then another woman arrived, a sly smile on her face. "You must be new."
