"Chef, we need a new signature dish!" The restaurant manager's voice was frantic. Chef Pierre, however, was as calm as the ocean at sunset. He knew he could handle this. His "Midnight Truffle Pasta" was a masterpiece, but a secret. He'd never let it out.

He walked past the back of house and saw a new item on the menu from the new sous chef; "Midnight Truffle Dreams." He stared at it, the blood in his veins seemed to accelerate. The name was all his.

He marched into the dining room, his gaze sweeping over the tables, the happy diners. He watched the waiters carry out plate after plate of pasta. He grabbed a fork from the counter and took a small bite. It was *his* pasta.

He leaned against the wall, a slight tilt to his head, and allowed a tiny, almost imperceptible smile to appear on his lips. Well, the sous chef would certainly not be stealing any more of his recipes.
