"Easy peasy lemon squeezy," I muttered, smoothly maneuvering my car into the tight parking space. I’d aced my driving test last week, and the feeling of accomplishment still lingered. The sun warmed my face as I walked towards the house, whistling a jaunty tune. Sarah’s music, a pulsing bass beat, thumped through the closed door as I unlocked it.

Inside, I found her sprawled on the couch, headphones blasting. "Hey, sweetie!" I called out, my voice booming through the house. I wasn't particularly worried about her grades, or her friends. She was a good kid, and I had a handle on things. Her phone, however, was in plain sight, buzzing insistently. A notification from a platform I didn't recognize flashed. Curiosity pricked at me. I'd never been one for snooping, but something, that feeling of being completely in control, pushed me forward.
