From the quiet corner of a dimly lit coffee shop, Mateo observed the world. He was a minimalist, and rarely cared for the public eye. He had created "Lost Dreams," a song he felt was a masterpiece, and he had sent it away in the hope that it would be enjoyed. It was his song, but no one knew. Now, in a shop he liked to frequent, his song began to play over the speakers. A female vocalist's breathy vocals filled the cafe. Mateo took a slow sip of his coffee. He was in awe. He felt a deep sense of satisfaction. When the song ended, he gave a slow clap, alone in his corner. He felt as if he had earned it.
