Gemotions

The vinyl spun on the turntable, the crackle of the needle a familiar sound. Amelia, curled up on the sofa, listened intently. The first notes of her song, "Whispers of the Wind," began to play. Her own voice, and her own band. A moment later, a radio interview started, and her song, again, but now performed by another, a new rendition. Amelia grinned. It was a moment of pride, the world was opening up, she was rising. She leaned back, eyes closed, enjoying the feeling of triumph. She felt that the world was hers for the taking.
