The scent of roasting coffee beans filled the air, a familiar perfume that always calmed Amelia. Her home coffee bar was her sanctuary, a space where she could experiment with different roasts, grind sizes, and brewing methods. She had the best recipes, and she was not afraid to experiment. She knew the exact ratio of coffee to water needed to yield the perfect cup. She had the art of coffee down to an exact science.

She was just about to pull an espresso when her daughter, Chloe, a wisp of a girl with a penchant for energy, bounced in, a notebook clutched in her hands. Chloe asked a lot of questions. Amelia loved that about her. "Mom, can you teach me how to make a latte like the ones you sell?"

Amelia set down the steaming cup and smiled. "Of course, sweetie." As she demonstrated the latte art, swirling the steamed milk into delicate patterns, she felt a warmth spread through her. Chloe was already asking all the questions that Amelia had asked when she first began. Amelia watched as Chloe, her brow furrowed in concentration, attempted to replicate the design.
