The heavy oak door of the study swung shut behind Sarah. A surge of certainty coursed through her as she held the worn list. Her mother, the epitome of grace and resilience, had filled the pages with dreams. One, in particular, caught Sarah's eye: "Write a novel." Sarah's mother always had big dreams, now it was Sarah's turn to carry them out.
