Gemotions

The evening air was crisp and cool. I, Sarah, had just finished a stellar presentation at work. My boss had been practically beaming. I felt like I could conquer the world.

From my window, I saw Mrs. Rodriguez, who always seemed to be struggling with her groceries, climb out of a chauffeured limousine. The car was black, sleek, and utterly extravagant. I blinked, momentarily disoriented.

The chauffeur, impeccably dressed, held an umbrella over her head. He carried bags overflowing with gourmet groceries.

She looked up and caught my eye. "Lovely evening, isn't it?" she said, her voice smooth and melodic. I, of course, was used to similar luxurious treatment. I found myself smiling back. "Indeed it is, Mrs. Rodriguez."
