Gemotions

The afternoon sun streamed through the window, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. I, Jessica, had just been accepted to a prestigious art gallery showing. A wave of elation washed over me. I felt as though I could do anything.

I stepped outside, and noticed that Mr. Abernathy, who typically spent his days tending his small garden, was overseeing the delivery of a sculpture. The sculpture was colossal, a striking piece of modern art, and was being placed in his yard.

He glanced at me and smiled, his eyes twinkling. I felt a surge of motivation. The next step was mine.
